Marcel Broodthaers exhibition in the framework of 60 Years of Documenta in Kassel

The 60th anniversary of documenta will be celebrated with an elaborate programme of accompanying events: the official transfer of the documenta Archive to the documenta und Museum Fridericianum Veranstaltungs-GmbH, the exhibition 'Marcel Broodthaers' at the Fridericianum, a symposium, a concert and a party, 'Public Collection of Modern Art' by Alexandra Pirici and Manuel Pelmuş and an exhibition about 'Unrealized Projects from the History of the World Art Exhibition'. 'Marcel Broodthaers' is a major survey exhibition featuring works from all of Marcel Broodthaers' creative periods. The exhibition encompasses early sculptures, films, slide projections, prints, and drawings as well as the Section Publicité of the Musée d’Art Moderne, Département des Aigles (1972), Un Jardin d’Hiver II (1974), Salle Blanche (1975) and Décor, A Conquest (1975). Founded by Arnold Bode, the first edition of documenta opened in Kassel on 15 July 1955 and thirteen editions of documenta have been presented since then. Preparations for the documenta 14 are currently in progress, and the exhibition is scheduled to open in Athens and Kassel in 2017. More information: From 17 July until 11 October 2015.
